SZE-KING KAN, is an architect who graduated in 1989 from the renowned AA (Architectural Association School of Architecture). In early 90s, he has worked for Rogers Stirk Harbour & Partners and participated in the London Hearthrow Airport project.
Career Development & Awards
S.K returned to Hong Kong in 1996 and established CHK Design Institute to promote his ideology of “Architerior”-minimalist aesthetics. The firm has completed over 200 diverse projects since established. Many of them have received wide acclaim and have been recognized with numerous awards, including the APIDA and Perspective Awards. In his early career, focus has been dedicated exclusively on designing and managing hospitality projects, particularly for complex acute environments in the food & beverage industry. His award winning projects include COVA at Pacific Place and Wood Café.
In recent years, he is engaged in over 30 high class cuisine outlets across Hong Kong, PRC and Europe. His work in architecture, office design and residential projects also got tremendous recognition from the industry.
Striving for Professional Excellence
S.K is also well versed in the retail operation guidelines, safety requirements, visual merchandise and the functional programming needs of each area or procedure. He regularly observes the design trend and daily operations of the retail and hospitality industries to better understand how design can enrich brand equity, foster hospitality and increase operation efficiency.
S.K’s design projects were published in the book “My design trail”in 2010. It summarizes most of his work since he graduated from AA with an objective to share his visions on architecture and interior design.

About Eddie Shing
Eddie' responsibilities include the supervision of the overall scope of services, design and planning objectives as well as the construction works on site. His proven hands on technique and managerial skills ensure quality and efficiency during the project process. His superior performance in every aspect of project management, including project budget monitoring as well as adhering to the project schedule, assure a cost-effective and timely completion. With a proven track record and long-term experience, he manages his diverse projects to a successful project completion.
He graduated from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. After graduation, he directed his focus on specializing in hotel and residential projects. His interior design work portfolio features in leading hotels such as Furama, Hilton, Inter-continental and Ever Green, as well as prestigious flats and apartments such as the Legend at Jardine's Lookout and the Manhattan Tower at Repulse Bay
EDWARD HUNG, Design Director

About Edward Hung
Edward has a wealth of diverse experience in corporate interiors, including food and beverage, high-end residential, and retail.
He is highly experienced in interior design and project management with numerous hospitality and retail projects includes Cova Restaurants, IKI Teppanyaki, Hip Sushi, Tassels Shoes Shop, Club 681 at Shanghai and Long Island Golf Club at Dungguan in recent years.
He graduated from the First Institute of Art & Designs in 1988, and has been worked in famous international design firms - Hirsch Bedner & Associates Ltd and Chhada Siembieda & Associates Ltd. respectively, participate and take part in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong and Sheraton Hong Kong projects. He also continues to provide design direction and coordination on several hotel projects in Macau, such as Hotel Lisboa and Hotel Sintra.
